PENNILESS

post's trail mix crunch,cranberry vanilla with chopped strawberries sprinkled with rasins(: DELICIOUS!!

with HL milk(;
well I'm not exactly penniless, considering that I still have a few coins in my coin purse. gee it's TOTALLY HORRIBLE being BROKE:( (so broke that I even contemplated of busking. I'm NOT EXAGGERATING. I don't even have a $2 note in my wallet. sobs) why? I went on an accumulated shopping trip last week. need to re-prioritise,refocus my needs and wants. gotta throw away the idea of buying things as an investment or to hedge against the future(as said in confessions of a shopaholic by sophie kinsella).
my progress? I head straight home for lunch after school today to prepare myself a hearty lunch that is...wait for it... CEREAL!! it's 1 of the 2 meals that I know how to prepare(and something I can eat 3 meals a day)!
to my girlfriends out there, sorry, looks like no more shopping, even window shopping (why shop if you can't buy?).ouch. I hope to recover from my personal economic downturn. wish me all the best. till then, toodles and SPEND WISELY<3

MESSY IS THE NEW NEAT

definition of messy, by andrina: messy is the art of creatively placing your things as one pleases.
other than my study table, my bed has the biggest surface area in which I can place my things. I am proud to be messy(at times) and even ask my mom or brother to come and take a look at the mess. there are days where you feel like being neat or even messy. don't you? and I guess I felt messy on that particular day(;

how to train your dragon
I love watching a good movie. who doesn't? it's just that a good one* (according to my criteria) is hard to come by. I'm glad I ended up watching how to train your dragon with my bff from school aka poly.
it was both awfully touching and heart warming. it's about a boy who is daring to be different from everyone at his village by not wanting to kill a dragon but train them instead. after watching the movie, it made me want to have my own pet dragon to keep. toothless (so adorable that made my want to squeeze its cheek till its eyes pop out), the dragon owned by the scrawny guy, hiccup.(what a funny name! it'd be VERY interesting to name a child burp, sneeze or fart?)
being able to fly from place to place seems surreal. I bet singapore's government would banned that dragons were to be our mode of transport, we'd be able to fly over ERPs and SMRT wouldn't even exist anymore. I bet we'll not only save the earth by cutting tremendously on fuel but also tangibly on transportation fees. wouldn't that be nice? I bet only such things can only happen in my dreams.
with less than a week till my school starts, it's time my brain ought ta grow and absorb new facts, get stressed as I'm far too relax and can already pass off as a couch potato or lazy bum.
who would have known that I'd eventually get bored from watching korean/taiwanese dramas, reading (even I myself cannot believe that) and not to mention the guilty pangs are getting worse as I consume enormous amount watts of electricity,which I think is enough to power a small village in africa for a night. it's time for me to be stress,face the world and REALITY.

under one roof
while reading the first few pages of outliers (the story of success) by malcolm
gladwell, I was surprised by the contents and it caused my left eyebrow to arch higher than usual during my bus ride journey.
it is found that in reseto valfortore(somewhere far off near rome!), in one of it's village, almost all the people living there were dying of old age. not cancer, heart attacks or the nasty common and popular diseases that wipe off normal mankind. hence, scientist were intrigued and made studied they're lifestyles. factors like healthy living (they did not regularly exercise) , healthy diet( it was found that people there ate candies all year round, fatty& oily food) or even genes will definitely come into our minds as one of the 'obvious factors'.that is what we think but guess what? the reason why people in reseto were dying of old age is simply because in every household, you can find them having three-generational meals. grandparents were head of the household and were greatly respected. fascinating isn't it?
it must have been the support they gave each other, transferring of values, teachings to the younger ones that resulted in them having longer lives. with the new knowledge learnt, I might consider living with my parents under one roof when I get married* or were to start my own family*. also, I needn't feel so guilty whenever I am reminded that I haven't been running since I fell and scraped my knee (which was about a month ago?) and whenever I indulge in sinful aka FATTENING food (which is most of the times).HA.
