'the rainbows in the sky to show God's promises are true..'

I was pleasantly surprised when the discovery rangers performance song was rainbow by hillsongs kids ( for the enrolment service). for every time I worry about 'the land' God has promised me, a land that is flowing with milk and honey, He will never fail to put that song in my heart.

year 2010 is going to be filled with lotsa exciting and equally challenging changes which are waiting to be embraced. at times I get frustrated when things do not go my way and get tired of waiting for God's promises to come through. impatient me. deep down, I know that through the process of waiting, God's gonna mold and shape me, not forgetting equipping me with the necessary skills. hence, I shall and will not settle for second best but only the best and nothing else. though I may not understand why things do not go my way, for I know that His thoughts are higher than mine and so are His ways higher than my ways.

all I need to do is simply trust in Him and everything else will fall into place(:

NEW ME(;

I've been constantly challenged over the years of dressing differently from the crowd. I thought the reason I had lesser friends was cause I was usually decked in t-shirts, 3/4s or jeans and sneakers. I often felt like a nun whenever I'm beside a very attractive girl who wears very pretty, fashionable clothes, splashed with beautiful accessories, wearing shorts and slippers.

I've been brought up in an environment where wearing shorts and slippers out is a MEGA NO NO. thanks to my mom, my wardrobe's overflowing with uber, supremely comfortable jeans and shirts plus breathable shoes that my make my feet smile with every step.

I simply adore the clothes online but often only finding 2% suitable.my definition of suitable?it has to be timeless, no low cut shirts, no shorts, no dresses that have straps/ bare back..... the list goes on! it wasn't easy drawing the line of clothes that were of less modest. but hey! once I find something that fits all my criteria, I'm the happiest customer in our blue&green universe(:

my mom always let us know aloud that she is extremely proud and she dare say that my brother and I are one of the best dressed kids in church. I shall stay true to that in my shirt, jeans and purple sneakers(: *beams

I WILL NOT BE A DEAD SEA!

with almost everyone penning down their new year resolutions and an equal number of them "breaking" them within the following month *sniggles ( sneaky giggles) I guess I should pen down my very own workable new year resolutions.

1. I will do my devotion everyday*! gah. the 1st is already challenging. nevertheless I CAN!
2. I will be the best daughter, older sister, cell leader and rangers helper I can be. *beams
3. I will only spend when necessary. have decided to support local brands and join in the huge number of girls who shop online(: in addition, only buying shoes and bags when they WEAR OUT! ( yes I can!)
4. I will increase my savings for rainy days!
5. I will increase my intake of sky juice aka water and veggies! ( honestly, I think this is the easiest to accomplish)
6. I will spend lessER time facebooking. AMEN! and MORE time reading God's word and studying.
7. last but not least, I will NOT be a "dead sea" whereby I only consume all the blessings that God has blessed me with. I shall and will be a BLESSING(;

that's all for now and I shall review this probably 3 months from now? with God's help, I shall not under perform! amen!

NEW YEAR(:

2009 has been a year filled with both tears and joy for me. looking back, am glad that I've come out a stronger andrina.

moving on to a new year, I believe that 2010 is not going to be 'just another' year but it'll be a year filled with changes that are waiting for me to embrace. another equally exciting and sensational change is that I'm going to be 19! typing that number out makes me shudder! am getting oldER! what's more, 19 is my last year being a teenager. so no more being emotional, rash... and, according to my church stand and practice, I'm eligible to start dating!!! heee. *fireworks? NOT! am going to focus on my beloved family, lovable cell members, adorable rangers kids and all my gregarious friends in school and not forgetting my studies. a guy? he can WAIT!

what a better way to kick start 2010 than to spend time with my family and SHOPPING! 2 pairs of shoes from GEOX, a pair of jeans, most importantly with Jesus loving me from above, I'm ready for what 2010 has to offer! cheers(;
