I'm a t-shirt&jeans-kind-of girl(:

looking around me, I see girls dressed in pretty blouses, mini dresses accompanied with leggings.. decked with vintage bags, the list just goes on!

then looking at myself, t-shirt,jeans and pumps! honestly I can never imagine myself dressing prettily like them. to me, wearing a dress requires a lot of attitude! don't you think so?

as for me, I'm really comfortable in what I'm wearing as it allows me to move freely! hmm.. to add to that, I think it'd be easier for my friends and maybe even my mr right to spot me in a crowd. giggles.

to the girls out there, always remember that confidence is not base on a piece of cloth but it comes from within(:

there you have it, from the girl wearing t-shirt&jeans!

need or want

for the past week, my mom has been telling me if I were to earn a dollar, I'd have to make sure I wouldn't be spending $1.10. now, I couldn't agree less.

I was flabbergasted when I read one of the headlines in yahoo! Singapore news that "credit card loans up by S$840m in 12mths to sept".

it also stated "the percentage of outstanding credit card balances rolled over for more than one month..." in short, increased!

I remember one of my girl friend said that all my assets could fit into my pink, polka dot, butterfly purse when I told her that was all I had. reason why? simple, I overspend.

major mistake, getting things on impulse. I currently have $2 in my Guess wallet, to last me till friday. wonder how am I going to survive... for starters, my 2 lunches are going to be bread and peanut butter:(

the reason why we youngsters tend to overspend is simply, we spend more than we earn. we are likely to go for branded items. most of the time mistaking a need for a want.

I have to learn the hard way!

so the next time you grab something at the store, do ask yourself whether its a need or want. and keep in mind my mom's wise advice, "do not spend a dollar when you're earning a $1.10.

30% sale at TP bookshop!

put 3 girls in a bookshop having 30% sale and what would you get? answer, $30 worth of stationary, snacks and of course comfort food(chocolates).

the bookshop at my poly will be undergoing a change of management. what better way to end it than having a 30% off every item? *except school books.

it wasn't a surprise seeing the bookshop filled with students grabbing whatever deemed as a 'need'.doesn't one tend to overspend at a sale? (excluding my girlfriend and I). everyone was not only fighting for room space but also oxygen! I caught the shop auntie leaning against one of the shelf and fanning herself with a piece of folded paper commenting, " wa! so many people! so suffocating!". I couldn't help but laugh to myself.

I took the advantage of the sale and grab a dental floss. (original price $4, after discount,$2.80!) I can see the surprised look on your face. yes, my bookshop sells dental floss! from books to stationaries, snacks and even disposable undies! laughs.

might be going for round2 next week!

wonder how things will change with a new management...

loving the new me

I remember the days where a colony of pimples were inhabiting on my round, chubby face. so many that one could join dots across my face effortlessly. I tried counting them, but eventually gave up when I reached half of my forehead.

me, wallowing up in low self-esteem.I wish I had a pimple-less face..

I thank God for bringing me through those pimply times! through it I've learn the importance of "inner beauty and outward faith". its a miracle that I can now count the number of pimples on my less chubby face. not to mention the loss of weight. *all smiles. despite having 2 buffets the past weeks it simply went into my tummy. period.

I believe we are all beautifully and wonderfully created. so dont let the world define beauty by a weighing scale or the fashionable clothes your cupboard must have for the season. instead, as the saying goes, "beauty is skin deep"(:
