homewalking amongst the working crowd on your way home, it is not a surprise when you unintentionally breathe in the tired atmosphere. adults decked in their clean, neatly ironed shirts, rushing in a direction only they themselves know.
ever wondered, what exactly makes them walk in a hurry? what is the first thing on their minds when they finally set foot at their long awaited doorstep? could it be falling into the arms of their love ones? getting to see their every so energetic little children whom they seem the world to them? or could it be falling onto their soft comfy bed that only they themselves recognize that special scent their bedsheets hold?
the next time when you're heading home from a long day of school or work, do tell me what's the first thing you look forward to when you reach home(:

pictures
remember the time where I told you I helped out in a royal rangers camp ( under the post "my first" the previous month)? here are the pictures!
my patrol is none other than the enthusiastic elephant! as you can see above, its a standard flag where it tells everyone which patrol the kids belong to.
notice the girl with 2 pony tails+braided hair? she had it done at Bali. fascinating huh. on top of that she's such an adorable girl(:
on my left is dilys, as a patrol advisor she helps me out and guides me along the way to lead the girls better. cmdr andrina is teaching the girls how to make their bolo ties. hahas
the girl in the middle is natalie, isn't she adorable? on her left is janessa( the helper), and left is rachel.

no doubt I will.what better it is to end my relief teaching for this year than seeing my favourite student waving to me for the last time.I shall let you in about him. not to mention he's handsome. I wont reveal his name as he's under 16! in fact he's either 7 or 8 years old.to give it a dramatic finale, I had to bring 6 notorious students to see Mr Lim, none other than the disciplinary master. God was on their side as teachers were down for CT (contact time). yeap. that's the meanest I can ever be! sending pupils to the dm.its when they say sorry with those sincere eyes of theirs that you know that they truly are resentful that it makes me forget how naughty they were the past few days and simply forgive them right away.oh and I happened to teach PE, where it was a given specific time in the kids timetable where I simply get them to run.(that's what I thought) I felt really good when I told them, "run 2 rounds around the basketball court! " and boy were they obedient with a tinge of excitement and an overdose of enthusiasm and they were off before I knew it.will I go back to gongshan for relief teaching? no doubt I will(:

so long, small-eye guysstarting from now, whenever a guy(small-eyes) catches my attention, I'm not going to fantasize over him! gone were the days when I used to say, "whoa. he has small eyes!" rather, " Lord, You sure know how to create awesome works!"living in the 21st century where it is common to see teenagers or even tweens diving into a relationship head first. not considering the outcome or having commitment in mind. the sad thing is, what drives them are their raging hormones and selfish desires.I'd be wrong if I'd say that I dont struggle with temptation as hey! I too am surrounded my guys who not only have small eyes but are also good Christians ones.as one of my church's zone leader has laid down a ground rule stating that one can only commit into a relationship if he/she's 19 and above. it doesnt help that I'm turning 18 in merely 3months more! however, small-eye guys can certainly wait. for now, I'm fixing my eyes soley on God, trusting and believing that He knows what and definitely wants the best for me. thus I'm not settling for 2nd or 3rd best BUT only the BEST! toodles(:

why andrina DOESN'T EAT porkwhenever I tell my friends that I don't eat pork, they usually go, "what?! you don't eat pork? are you halal?". yes,I don't eat pork and no I'm not halal(:it all happens when I was in primary6, when a teacher showed us the movie, Animal Farm. a particular scene where it was dark, raining, thunder boomed above the shaggy house,a bolt of lightning sliced through the sky in twain. then it focused onto a cupboard where a pig's head rested on the top shelf! *eek. its already sending the chills down my spine.until today, I can remember that vividly. one moment the piggie is talking to its friends, and the next moment.. I don't even want to talk about it! you can say I was rather traumatized and well, a little paranoid. if you were to ask me why I eat chicken,fish,beef.. etc. hey! I wanted to be a vegetarian, (eating veggies and well, fish!) but.. my parents objected it and even gave me a lecture on God created chickens....for us to eat. sighs.morever, the bible say we must obey our parents and that I'm not excluded.so there you have it! the true story why andrina doesn't eat pork(:

every young woman's battleI've borrowed a book called "every young woman's battle" by shannon ethridge&stephen aterburn at my church library last sunday. the thing that struck me the most was this paragraph by a person called Neil ( not sure whether its a he or she though)."Trying desperately to get a guy's attention might work for awhile, but guyswho want to stay morally pure will avoid you(which is not your goal) because it eventually becomes obvious that you are too selfish to care about his purity and his relationship with Christ".I guess that speaks for itself.

money truely isnt easy to earnnow whenever my parents tell me that "money isnt easy to earn", I dare say I agree with them!
as you know, I'm working as a relief teacher at gongshan primary school. working hours for me are either 7.30am-1pm or 12.30-6pm for morning and afternoon session respectively. I must say it isnt all that easy having to constantly tell students, "I dont want to see anyone standing up/walking around", "at all times I only want to hear my voice (whenever I'm teaching)". yes, these requires lots of strong vocal power and saliva to make sure my throat doesnt get hoarse by the end of th day!
I usually get home feeling my energy level at the lowest.kids do drain my energy! however, on the bright side, I enjoy teaching and look forward to seeing the kids almost everyday. what's priceless and rewarding is when students remember me and seem exceptionally happy to see me. not to mention the constant excited calls of "Miss Teo!" and frantic wave of little hands along the corridoor. that, makes relief teaching all worth while(:
