call me Miss Teo!

here's what I've been doing for the past two weeks of my holidays!

I was first called up by gongshan primary school to do relief teaching on 18th sept after registering online with moe. yes, relief teaching. ( I can see the shock expression on your face!)

in fact, teaching primary5 kids was not an easy job at all. at the end of 2hours, my throat was starting to feel dry! and yes, I was the meanest I could ever be, being strict and stern was a MUST. getting the whole class to remain seated was already a huge accomplish and something I was proud of (:

the subsequent days were spend teaching the lower primary! they were the most adorable and they said the darnest things! its nice hearing them calling me "Miss Teo". but hearing my name being called from all corners of the class is not as pleasing to my ears. nevertheless, being a relief teacher is rather fulfilling as I get to interact with the kids! that is something no amount or money can exchange for.

I thank God for granting me this job as initially I was disappointed when I didnt get through 2 interviews, each offering $6 and $7 per hour respectively. now I'm paid $65 a day! that's almost $13 an hour with a minimum of 5.5h! ( plus I'm being paid during my 1h+ free time! smiles) minus CPF (ouch!) I get around $10+. still, its more than what my peers are earning. HA. laughs.

I'm ever so grateful(: to God be all the glory!

my first..

the second week of my holidays was rather fruitful as it included my many firsts!

firstly! hahas. I helped out in a rangers training camp last friday and saturday. it was the first time I had to take care of 6 lil girls, ages 9&10. and boy! it wasnt easy at all. in fact it was energy draining! nonetheless they were the sweetest things and thank God that they opened up to me within a day. am honoured that they looked up to me as a commander, big sister and friend(:

my second first is my visit to wild wild wet!
as today was my church family day, my friends and I, (anna, alicia, evan and jasmine )went to www. we certainly had a blast taking the various rides offered. my favourite ride was, as it was SLIDE UP,the highest and had the steepest plundge! it never failed to make my heart skipped a beat for 5s? yeah! hahas. ( oh and I rode that twice! )

my last first would have to be turning in before 9pm!
I'm dead tired now. must be the drowsy flu medicine! kept sneezing the whole day:( someone must be constantly thinking of me.. if its YOU, better own up! laughs.

sorry but my fluffy and my bed are calling me out! gotta catch up on my beauty sleep. nights everyone(:
