Guys and Gucci 2Gucci, Prada,Coach, Armani, Calvin Klein.... just to name a few.
In the past, my eyes would lit up whenever I spotted people on the streets either carrying a Gucci bag or wearing an Armani jeans.
Plus, when I'm walking past boutiques along Orchard rd, I'd be captivated by the clothes or bags displayed inside the glass panels. inside of me, I desire to have them.call me materialistic? I was her victim.she caught me off-guard.
being brought up with "only the best" where my mom pampers me with beautiful yet comfy clothings, hands to me her many bags which feed my materialism. time and time again, my mom would constantly tell me off when I talked about branded clothes or bags. she too remind me not to be so brand conscious. believe it or not, that used to be me. brand consicous!
I thank God that I'm able to shake off this materialistic side of me. I thought carrying a Gucci bag would make people think highly of you. I was so wrong!
I do not want to be deem as " materialistic".
In fact, being who you are and sincere on the inside, that already will gain people's respect.
today, I believe that one does not need to go for branded items just to look beautiful, the secret of beauty lies in the inside and it'll definitely outshine whatever clothes you wear and bag you carry on the outside! beauty lies in the heart(:
